Big Duck Management was founded in 2004 by Nate Hastings, former manager of Portsmouth, New Hampshire based rock/hip-hop fusionists Solid8. Originally focusing on artist management and production services, Big Duck Management found a niche in 2007 by providing street level promotion for Kirschner Concerts and the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom.
While maintaining relationships with these original clients, Big Duck Management has gone on to add the Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion, the State Theatre, the Nateva Music and Camping Festival, Higher Ground, Sugarloaf USA, Heptunes, the Prescott Park Arts Festival and the Redhook Ale Brewery to its list of high-profile clients.
The full list of top-level entertainers that Big Duck Management has worked with through partnerships with venues, promoters and festivals is far too long for this page. To get the idea, here are some quick names: the Flaming Lips, the Black Crowes, Furthur [Feat. Phil Lesh & Bob Weir], Jordin Sparks, Lewis Black, Ron White, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Blues Traveler, and the All-American Rejects.
Big Duck Management has also provided booking services for top-quality up and coming acts including Eric Ott (singer/songwriter – Dover, NH), Palefighter (singer/songwriter – Dover, NH) and One Hand Free (rock – Portsmouth, NH) and the Brother Kite (indie-rock – Providence, RI).
As of 2013, Big Duck Management’s primary focus is the management of One Hand Free.
